The UL Lafayette Dissertation Boot Camp is designed for doctoral students who have approved dissertation topics, who are well into their dissertation research, and who are actively writing chapters of their dissertation. It will include group goal setting, opportunities for individual coaching from writing consultants, sustained writing time, and, of course, food and drinks.

Offered during Winter and Summer sessions, Dissertation Retreats all participants to devote a week to working on their dissertation in the writing center. Participants spend a majority of their time writing; however the program sometimes also includes discussions on topics relevant to dissertations students, including motivation, goal setting, and time management.
